LEXINGTON, KY (Oct. 17, 2018) – Preparations for the demolition of the Jefferson Street bridge are underway. The work comes after the City Council authorized the Lexington Center Corporation to demolish the bridge and related infrastructure last Thursday.

LEXINGTON, KY (July 19, 2018) — The Lexington Center broke ground today on the long awaited, highly anticipated $241 million replacement and expansion of the Lexington Convention Center. The single largest capital public improvement project in Lexington’s history, this project is expected to elevate Lexington’s convention facilities, bringing a new level of vitality to downtown and strengthening Lexington as a convention and meeting destination.
This highly anticipated $241 million dollar construction project is slated to begin in August 2018 and be completed in November 2021. The 3-year project will be built in phases to allow Rupp Arena and much of the existing convention center to remain in operation during construction.

LEXINGTON, KY (Feb.8, 2018) –The Lexington Center Corporation (LCC) and the University of Kentucky (UK) have executed a “Right of Use Agreement,” culminating in a new 15-year lease at Rupp Arena. This will ensure that the Kentucky Wildcats men’s basketball team keeps playing at Rupp through the 2033 season.
Los Angeles, CA. (February 5, 2018) – Lexington Center Corporation and Oak View Group Facilities have entered into a three-year exclusive Event Booking agreement for Rupp Arena. OVG Facilities will be focused on all areas of event programming with the exception of University of Kentucky athletic events. The booking strategy will focus on creating new programming, attracting more diverse national tours to the Lexington market, creating unique premium experience opportunities, and enhancing the fan experience.
