Lexington Opera House

Directions & Parking

As a historical downtown theatre, the Opera House does not own or operate public parking facilities. However, more than 10,000 convenient parking spaces are available within a 10-minute walk of the Opera House. In addition, all surrounding parking lots and parking garages offer spaces for individuals with disabilities. Parking fees are determined by the management of each parking area.

The circle driveway in front of the Short Street entrance is available for temporary drop-off and pick-up of guests. This area is not available for public parking, and any unauthorized vehicles are subject to towing. Bluegrass Towing (859)233-9711 monitors this area 24 hours a day.

General Parking

The Rupp Arena parking lot on West High Street is available with hourly parking rates on non-arena event days. On arena event days parking fees and availability vary. 

 Accessible Parking

Although the Opera House operates no public parking facilities, we offer a drop-off area in front of the Short Street entrance.  Parking in this area is limited to some event personnel.
