LEXINGTON, KY (February 18, 2026) SCAPA at Bluegrass is proud to announce its upcoming production of Dance SCAPA 2026, opening March 13 at the Lexington Opera House. Directed by Laurie Fields, Rebecca Stephenson, and Cynthia Mills, Dance SCAPA 2026 is a dazzling showcase of dance featuring ballet, jazz, tap, musical theatre, and more. The performance highlights a wide range of choreographic styles, including classical ballet, contemporary, modern, rhythm tap, jazz, and Traditional Chinese dance.

As SCAPA dance teachers, the directors are delighted to present students performing across diverse dance forms and styles. Audiences will find the evening both inspiring and educational as students “try on” various techniques and work toward understanding and perfecting each genre. The choreography has been thoughtfully crafted to highlight the talents of SCAPA’s many gifted dance majors and minors.

This year’s production also features original works by guest choreographers Leah Summers, Meredith Sims, and Shuling Fister, along with returning guest choreographer Kate Hadfield-Antonetti. In January, Meredith Sims participated in a short guest artist residency, teaching classes and setting choreography on both middle and high school students. These collaborations expand the scope of the program and enrich students’ appreciation of dance within a broader artistic context.
