Central Bank Center Welcomes The World of Coal Ash 2026, Bringing Sustainability Innovation and a Wave of Visitors to Lexington
LEXINGTON, KY (May 4, 2026) – Central Bank Center welcomes The World of Coal Ash Conference 2026 (WOCA), bringing approximately 1,300 attendees to Lexington for one of the event’s largest gatherings to date. Focused on the reuse of coal combustion products in construction and infrastructure, the conference highlights continued advancement in sustainable practices across the industry. In doing so, it brings together global innovation leaders and applied research.
WOCA is also expected to create a strong presence across Lexington throughout the week. Nearly 2,000 hotel room nights have been contracted and reserved for months in advance, with additional attendees expected to utilize a range of accommodations across the city. The conference footprint will extend beyond the venue, with at least 10 participating companies hosting receptions at venues throughout Lexington.
“Central Bank Center is proud to host World of Coal Ash, an event that advances sustainability and innovation through the reuse of coal combustion products in construction materials and infrastructure applications,” said Joe Fields, Director of Sales. “The event highlights our role as a partner venue for conferences that bring together global expertise and forward-looking industry conversations.”
