THE CELEBRATION
A weeklong celebration is planned to highlight the mission of the Opera House Fund over the past 5 decades.
- Sunday, May 10 — Premiere Event featuring an internationally renowned Broadway Guest Star
- Wednesday, May 13 — Local Arts Spotlight: A showcase of local performing arts organizations who use the opera house as their home stage
- Friday, May 15th — A Symphony of Sound featuring the Lexington Philharmonic and the Lexington Singers with a Grammy Award-winning violinist
- Saturday, May 16th — Curtain Call: On Stage Reception for donors marking the milestones of the historic Lexington Opera House
Sunday, May 10: An Evening With Bernadette!
Join Bernadette Peters, critically acclaimed star of stage, film, television ,and recordings, and the Lexington Theatre Company for a magical and inspiring Mother’s Day evening of songs from the great music masters! The multi-award winner creates an intimate audience experience when she performs celebrated selections from Rodgers and Hammerstein, Stephen Sondheim, and Jerry Herman, among others.
